Ready to hear one of the greatest music mash-ups ever created? Well you won't have to look any further than Daniel Kim's new Pop Anthology for 2012, featuring this year's biggest and most addictive earworms, including chart toppers from Carly Rae Jepsen, Maroon 5 and Rihanna. People may criticize pop music for it all sounding the same, but Kim has combined this year's greatest and worst moments to create one hell of an addictive, eight-minute listen.
Some of the tracks featured may have not been some of my favorite releases in 2012, in fact a few will make an appearance on my Worst of 2012 list, but when paired with other amazing songs, they do not sound too bad themselves. All of the great hooks and memorable choruses are tied together as if they could possible make one full song. How cool would it be if they all actually did a song together? Who would get top billing? Who would be featured last? Questions, questions, questions.
So sit back, turn this jam up high, and relive the past year in under 10 minutes. You will not regret what the finished product has to offer. Which songs should have been featured more predominantly? Which amazing songs were left out? Let me know.
