After eight years of business, designers Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominated Cusnie et Ochs have sold a minority stake in their brand to Farol Asset Management. The company will join an investment portfolio that includes 24 Hour Fitness.

Investment will allow the company to expand the collection and increase international distribution and brand awareness. In addition, the designers have tapped Peter Arnold, formerly of Cynthia Rowley and the CFDA, as their CEO.

In other celebrity style news, for her wedding to Magic Mike hunk Joe Manganiello, Sofia Vergara tapped Zuhair Murad to design her gown. The piece took a reported 1,657 hours to make, incorporated 11 pounds of sequins and was the joint work of over 30 atelier employees.
