Mike Richards Quits Jeopardy!

Just as quickly as he named himself successor to Alex Trebek of "Jeopardy," Mike Richards has quit as the host. Mike Richards, is executive producer of "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune". Mike Richards was also supposed to host the "The Price is Right" but lost to Drew Carey. 

Why Did Mike Richards Quit Jeopardy?

Mike Richards made sexist comments on a podcast, that have recently resurfaced. As a result of the sexist comments, Jeopardy will renew the search for a host. Mike Richards, who has been an executive producer for two years, will keep his role.

Mike Richards was supposed to host "Jeopardy" with Mayim Bialik, replacing Alec Trebek, who died in 2020 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Fans were disappointed because they wanted LeVar Burton to succeed Alex Trebek. During LeVar Burton's guest host, Burton was interrupted by the 2020 Summer Olympics. Representatives from Global Television Studios and Corporate Development for Sony Pictures were reportedly underwhelmed with LeVar Burton's hosting, although LeVar was a clear favorite.
